QUALITY ASSURANCE SHIFT LEAD
PURPOSE
To develop on-shift leadership for quality control activities, ensuring that all products meet Bagco quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
THE JOB
- Supervise QA Inspectors and Lab Technicians during the shift.
- Conduct in-process quality checks on weaving, conversion, extrusion, lamination, and printing operations.
- Validate machine settings (GSM, tensile strength, COF, thickness, colour match, tape width, tape strength).
- Review and approve shift quality records, logs, and defect reports.
- Escalate non-conformities and coordinate immediate corrective actions with Production Supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, ISO 9001:2015, and GMP standards.
- Drive root-cause analysis for defects such as weaving faults, print misregistration, lamination delamination, and bag dimension errors.
- Support shift handover reporting and maintain documentation for audits.
THE PERSON MUST
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Leadership & communication
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 5S, GMP
- Ability to work under pressure
QUALIFICATION
- HND/B.Sc in Science, Engineering, Polymer/Textile
EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years in QA within manufacturing/packaging
